I love old books. This beautifully distressed image is a scan of a page from an antique journal full of handwritten poems. The penmanship is gorgeous. Antique, handwritten pages make for interesting background papers, and I love using scans of old book as the design on photo mats for my scrapbooking pages.
This free background was created from an old letter I found in my great-grandmother’s hope chest. I antiqued it a little, and now it looks even older. This would make a great background for a family-themed scrapbooking project.
